Laurel Lawson (dancer) has been an athlete and artist since the age of five. Having pursued theatre and music ever since, she
combined the two with dance with an appearance in the film "Warm Springs" (HBO, 2005).
She can often be found on the basketball court or playing celtic bluegrass fusion rock. Laurel is also a lifelong civil rights advocate, an experienced trainer and facilitator.
Laurel first encountered integrated dance through a Positive Motion class offered at Shepherd Center, and found it to be a challenging creative discipline. She was pleased to join the company in January 2004.
