Your donation helps Full Radius Dance engage adults and children with disabilities in the modern dance art form while promoting greater acceptance and understanding of persons with disabilities among the general population. We believe everyone, including persons with disabilities, should feel welcomed to participate in the performing arts and have the opportunity to experience a greater awareness of themselves and their potential cultural contributions to society. Our mission is to promote, advance, and enhance the modern dance art form for persons with disabilities, dance artists, and the general community.
Full Radius Dance is a modern dance company that brings excitement and innovation to the world of dance by presenting mature, choreographically complex works celebrating technique and physicality. The company creates and performs original dance works and provides professional dance opportunities for dancers without disabilities and dancers with disabilities, many of whom use wheelchairs (physically integrated dance).
The Modern Atlanta Dance Festival, an annual event created by Full Radius Dance first presented in 1995, is designed to showcase the diversity and excellence of the local dance scene.
Our Positive Motion program offers dance classes and lecture demonstrations for children and adults with disabilities and the general population. These classes are a technique-based dance program that let participants explore creative expression in a non-judgmental setting that provides an entertaining, informative look at physically-integrated dance and helps to dispel some of the myths about persons with disabilities.
Full Radius Dance is supported, in part, by the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, the Fulton County Commission under the guidance of the Fulton County Arts Council, and the Georgia Council for the Arts through appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly. The Council is a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
